Amazon may very well sell the device(s) at a loss, and recoup their costs in eBook sales, but if Quanta is expecting US$3.5bn in revenue, from 800k units, then customers will need to buy over 1000 eBooks (assuming US$4 profit on each book)!!!Posted on May 3, 22:49
Something is a amiss in the calculations for Quanta revenues at US$3.5B. If you multiply an average selling price of US$466 times 750,000 units sold - the result is 1/10th the US$3.5B reported.
