    It is interesting that PC Makers are struggling to match the MacBook Air in price when Apple has the highest gross margins in the industry and PC Makers tend to have slim profit margins.

    Whoa... the kings of the $350 laptop can't figure out how to make one for $999? This Ultrabook is supposed to be a MacBook Air competitor and Apple's doing it with a good profit margin. I guess there's a cost for getting out of the junk laptop business.

    I'm sure Apple will appreciate receiving those lower prices and marketing subsidies.
