Japan-based LED firm Nichia has announced the release of a new surface mount LED device (SMD) for outdoor full color display applications. Under Nichia part number "NSSM032," this product provides for a new class of LED screen image quality and waterproof capability.
The product is waterproof and silicone potted, according to the firm. The product is fit for outdoor displays in arenas, advertisement billboards, and retail displays due to its ability to operate in all weather conditions, indicated Nichia.
