Intel announced its 8th Gen processors. Intel's new CPUs for mobile PCs are Core i7-8650U, Core i7-8550U and Core i5-8250U, all featuring quad-core eight-thread configuration and supporting dual-channel DDR4-2400 or LPDDR3-2133 memory.
Intel says 8th Gen delivers up to a 40% performance boost compared to 7th Gen, and the first processors available are the mobile processors for thin and light notebooks and 2-in-1 devices. Consumer desktop will follow in the fall of this year.
