Ennostar has obtained orders with shipments scheduled until third-quarter 2021 and its utilization rates have reached 80-90%, according to industry sources.
Ennostar is a holding company that wholly owns LED epitaxial wafer and chip maker Epistar and vertically-integrated LED firm Lextar Electronics.
Ennostar has had over 50% of miniLED chip production capacity booked up by Apple and its supply is expected to be tight in the second and third quarters of 2021, the sources noted.
To cope with tight supply, client may agree to lower spec requirements, which would accelerate shipments, the sources indicated.
Ennostar aims to have 2021 consolidated revenues exceed the sum of Epistar's and Lextar's 2020 consolidated revenues and expects mini LED sales to take up 30% of the consolidated revenues. Based on order visibility, Ennostar expects the sales ratio between the first and second halves of 2021 to be 55:45.
