Via the consolidation with NordNav Technologies and Cambridge Positioning Systems, CSR said it targets to reduce the BOM (bill-of-material) of global positioning system's (GPS) for handheld applications to below US$1.
CSR expects its first Autonomous and Assisted GPS product offerings that support satellite navigation and other location-based services to be available during the first half of 2007.
CSR will demonstrate its solution during the upcoming 3GSM Congress in Barcelona, Spain scheduled for February 12-15.
