Several Taiwan-based start-up companies were at Computex 2015's Meet the Future exhibition zone and among them was Aidmics Biotechnology.
The company showcased its inspection products that are able to connect with smart mobile devices. One of them is the uHandy mobile microscope.
Aidmics is looking to enter into the worldwide animal husbandry and education sectors.
Since the release in August 2014, uHandy sales have reached close to 1,000 units and 70% of the volume has come from Taiwan and 30% overseas with the US being the major contributor of the overseas sales, according to the vendor.
