With continuing efforts in developing thin client and POS products, Clientron has successfully developed innovation products for various vertical market demands. At the upcoming Computex 2017, Clientron will showcase multiple innovations, including the slim, fanless and full-featured POS Bello series that was recently recognized with the 2017 Taiwan Excellence Award, the innovative AIO POS Duo650 with dual touch screens, and a complete lineup of thin clients for entry-level, mid-range, high-end and smart applications.
Clientron strengthens customer interaction with flexible dual-display POS design
Commenting on the highlight of this year’s exhibition, a POS featuring dual customer displays, Kelly Wu, President & CEO, Clientron said, “Different from competitor POS, our Bello POS has a flexible second screen design supporting the possibility of adding two customer displays so when the cashier is ringing up the sale, the customer can see the items and the total amount on the top display while the other customer display can show advertisements. The system can also integrate an NFC reader to support multiple payment solutions and thereby enhance the user experience.”
Clientron is also presenting the innovative Duo650, which is distinguished from common POS by featuring two upright touch displays bonded back-to-back. “The upright dual display design significantly saves hardware costs. The ultra-slim form factor also saves counter space to allow the store to place more peripherals and merchandise,” emphasized Wu. It should be noted that the system also has a light bar on the side which can change color to match store decoration and can inform customers about the system status. The touch control function on the customer display also enables customers to perform some operations such as seat selection at movie theaters or airport check-in counters. Furthermore, stores can use the displays for advertisements to boost their return. These dual-display POS are particularly suitable for retail business channels, airports, stations, libraries and cinemas.
Introducing industry thin clients for operation in critical environments
In terms of thin clients, Clientron will exhibit industry thin clients IT800 and IT900. Their fanless, IP40 dust-proof and whole aluminum housing design enables them to sustain harsh conditions in outdoor or semi-outdoor environments, such as factories or parking lot management systems. They additionally support flexible selections of I/O expansion peripherals as well as WWAN and WLAN connections and therefore enable a wide range of uses including IoT applications. Furthermore, high-end models with 4K definition and quad displays meet the needs of the healthcare sector.
Expanding into markets in Southeast Asia, Russia and the Middle East
Clientron’s unrivalled design innovations enable it to keep expanding its market footprint, from America and Europe to Southeast Asia, Russia and Middle Eastern countries. “We have been actively participating in trade exhibitions in Southeast Asia in recent years. This will help boost our brand publicity in the region and further our collaborations with local distributors and system integrators to jointly create sales channels for Clientron POS products in the area.” Having attended Food & Hotel Indonesia 2017 in Jakarta in April this year and met with great success, Clientron will continue to build up market through active participations in show events.
With its aggressive efforts, Clientron has achieved great success in Southeast Asian markets. For example, the slim, fanless and full-featured POS Bello series was recently recognized with the 2017 Taiwan Excellence Award is now available for purchase at convenience stores in the Philippines. “Different from America and Europe, Southeast Asian markets are more price-sensitive. Also due to limited store space, they usually prefer products with compact form factors. Clientron’s strong POS R&D capabilities can tailor to all requirements by different regional markets,” said Wu.
“Compared to the mature markets in America and Europe, the POS markets in Southeast Asia have tremendous room to grow.” Wu explained by giving an example, “The rapidly growing housing construction business in Vietnam in recent years is giving rise to the burgeoning increase of community-style convenience stores and this is pushing demand for POS. We are closely watching emerging opportunities like this.” Clientron has joined the D-Link and Partners Team and by leveraging D-Link’s global resources, Clientron is also penetrating into Russia and the Middle East in addition to Southeast Asia, continuing to grow its global footprint.
Innovative Clientron POS and thin clients are on exhibit at booth K0427a at Hall 1, Taipei Nangang Exhibition Center during the period of Computex 2017, May 30- June 3.
