Foxconn and HCL signed an MoU to form a joint venture into the OSAT sector, as manufacturers are capitalizing on the opportunity to have a presence in the Indian semiconductor ecosystem.

HCL, Foxconn form OSAT JV in India

According to Foxconn's corporate filings to the Taiwan exchange and statements from HCL and Foxconn to multiple media, HCL and Foxconn formed a joint venture to enter the OSAT sector in India. The duo reportedly preferred to set up a manufacturing facility in southern India.

Acer to increase production in India and Indonesia in bid for local market share
