Prime View International (PVI) chairman Scott Liu demonstrated at SID 2008 the company's latest z-Touch e-paper that was jointly developed with US-based F-Origin making use of 'force sensing' touch technology.
Unlike conventional touch solutions that are put on top of display screens, the z-Touch e-paper has force sensors under it to detect user's touches, and it does not need an ITO layer and will not reduce the e-paper's reflection rate, the company said.
