Acer has announced its new TravelMate X3 commercial notebook series designed for small and medium businesses, and professionals. First in the series, the 14-inch TravelMate X349, featured a metal design with advanced technology.
Enclosed in an all-aluminum chassis with a metal finish, Acer's TravelMate X349 weighs 1.53kg, and measures less than 18mm in thickness. It features sixth-generation Intel Core processors, up to 8GB DDR4 memory, and up to 512GB SSDs, with a battery life of up to 10 hours. The TravelMate X349 ships with Windows 10 Pro.
The TravelMate X349's 14-inch display supports Full HD resolution (1920 by 1080) with IPS technology and wide viewing angles. In addition, the display reclines 180 degrees to lie fully flat for flexible use-cases such as sharing content in small group discussions. The TravelMate X349 also features an LED backlit keyboard for productivity in low-light situations.
The TravelMate X349 will be available in North America in October with prices starting at US$649.99; in EMEA in September with prices starting at EUR480 (US$533); and in China in September with prices starting at CNY5,999 (US$897).
