Toshiba Matsushita Display Technology (TMDisplay) announced a low-temperature polysilicon (LTPS) TFT LCD display prototype with finger shadow sensing input capability. This new LTPS TFT LCD prototype, with the ability to sense a user's finger shadow directly at the surface of the display, is expected to eventually achieve commercial level performance for display screen sizes commonly used in mobile phone applications.
