Touch solution provider TPK Holding has reported consolidated revenues of NT$7.098 billion (US$254 million) for June, decreasing 14.62% on month and 19.84% on year.
The revenue dropped mainly due to shift to new products in June shipments, TPK said.
TPK posted consolidated revenues of NT$24.588 billion for the second quarter of 2021, slipping 15.75% on quarter and 12.34% on year, and those of NT$53.774 billion for January-June declined 4.39% on year.
TPK expects touch solutions used in notebooks and tablets to be the source of revenues growth in the second half of 2021.
Touch module maker General Interface Solution (GIS) has also reported consolidated revenue of NT$12.901 billion for June, growing 2.64% on month and 8.61% on year.
The revenue grew mainly due to shipments for touch modules used in new 12.9-inch iPad, industry sources said.
GIS recorded consolidated revenues of NT$36.138 billion for the second quarter of 2021, rising 43.36% sequentially and 6.45% on year, and those of NT$61.344 billion for January-June increased 8.41% on year.
