BenQ claims the FP241W is the world's first LCD monitor with a high-definition multimedia interface (HDMI) that enables 5Gbps data transfer.
Targeting the high-end market, the FP214W features a 1920x1200 (WUXGA) resolution, a contrast ratio of 1000:1 and a brightness of 300cd/m2.
BenQ will begin shipping the widescreen 24-inch model first in Taiwan by the end of June with a suggested retail price of NT$30,000 (US$936).
