Toshiba and SanDisk announced they will soon start shipping 56nm multi-level cell (MLC) NAND flash memory.
Fabricated using process technology co-developed by SanDisk and Toshiba, the 56nm chips will be available in 8Gbit (this quarter) and 16Gbit (next quarter) capacities from each of the two companies.
