Sony has unveiled its next-generation Xperia Z5, Xperia Z5 Compact, and Xperia Z5 Premium, and the vendor claims the last model as the world's first 4K smartphone.
The Xperia Z5 is powered by 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 (MSM8994) CPU, with a 5.2-inch Full HD 1080p (1920 by1080) display, 23-megapixel main camera, 5-megapixel front camera and a 2900mAh battery.
The specifications of the Xperia Z5 Compat are similar to Xperia Z5, featuring a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 CPU, 4.6-inch HD 720p Triluminos display, 23-megapixel main camera, 5-megapixel front camera and a 2700 mAh battery, with 2GB RAM and 32GB internal memory.
The Xperia Z5 Premium will sport 5.5-inch 4K Full HD (3840 by 2160) 806 ppi display. The model will also feature a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8-core 810 CPU, 23-megapixel main camera and a 3430 mAh battery, with 2GB RAM and 32GB internal memory. It will runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop.
The Xperia Z5 and Z5 Compact will launch globally from October 2015, and Xperia Z5 Premium from November 2015. The Xperia Z5 and Xperia Z5 Premium will also be available in both single SIM and dual-SIM variants, said the company.
