Taiwan-based LED chip packager Unity Opto Technology will invest an additional US$2 million in Global Lighting Technologies (GLT), a Taiwan-based maker of LED backlight units (BLU) and light guide plates, to bring its stake up to 8%, according to Unity Opto.
