TSMC and UMC to create 5,000 new jobs in 2011, says paper

Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC) is expected to hire 3,000 new employees in 2011 for its operations in Taiwan, according to a Chinese-language Economic Daily News (EDN) report citing estimates by sources at equipment makers.
