For the past 36 years, TechInsights (formerly VSLI) has formally evaluated semiconductor equipment companies based on customer feedback to recognize the best in the industry. TechInsights released its Customer Satisfaction Survey results for 2024 on May 17, with Adventest, EV Group, ASML, Technoprobe, and Edwards taking the top space of individual categories.
This is the only publicly available rating program of its kind, and TechInsights received feedback from more than 53% of the chip market and 96% of subsystem customers for this year's survey. The survey spans 2.5 months and covers five languages. Worldwide participants were asked to rate equipment suppliers among fourteen categories based on three key factors: supplier performance, customer service, and product performance. 1,358 surveys were returned, resulting in 18,965 total responses.
The 10 BEST Awards recognize each chip-making equipment supplier, irrespective of their product specialization. Ratings for Fab, Test, Assembly, and WFE Subsystems equipment are amalgamated to provide an overview of each supplier's performance.
Subsequently, suppliers are categorized based on a three-year average of total revenues across all market segments. This segmentation results in two distinct categories: Large and Focused. Through this comprehensive evaluation process, the 10 BEST awards aim to honor excellence and innovation within the semiconductor equipment industry.
