At InfoComm 2024, North America's largest display expo, Samsung Electronics, and LG Electronics are set to showcase various commercial display solutions, all featuring AI technology applications.

Samsung will also unveil SmartThings Pro for enterprise use. LG will unveil its next-gen Micro LED products incorporating AI technology for the first time.

According to reports from Korea Economic Daily and Seoul Economic Daily, at InfoComm 2024 held in Las Vegas, Samsung will present numerous commercial display products and solutions, including the enterprise version of SmartThings, called "SmartThings Pro," and the ultra-low power consumption, ultra-light, and ultra-thin electronic paper "Samsung Color Paper." In addition, it will showcase dedicated solutions for electronic blackboards with generative AI functions.

Samsung plans to gradually roll out SmartThings Pro in South Korea, North America, and globally. SmartThings Pro primarily targets the B2B market, capable of linking various devices, solutions, and services, providing integrated management through a single platform.

More specifically, based on the enterprise's requirements, SmartThings Pro can connect smart digital signage, home appliances like TBs and system air conditioners, and IoT products like lighting and temperature/humidity controls.

Furthermore, Samsung will unveil its Samsung Color Paper product for the first time. Said product is a new concept in digital signage that utilizes e-ink technology for ultra-low power consumption. For instance, Samsung Color Paper can maintain the display of the same content at a power consumption of 0W (watts), only using a little power when changing the display, greatly reducing the costs compared to existing digital signage.

On the other hand, LG will reveal its next-generation Micro LED products, expected to launch in 2024, for the first time. From the production process to image quality algorithms, these products incorporate AI technology extensively. For example, AI processors are used to analyze image brightness and color tones in real time to adjust them to the best quality.

LG's new Micro LED "LG Magnit" will also be showcased. It supports a maximum screen refresh rate of 144Hz. Moreover, LG will showcase various software solutions for its B2B online platform "LG Business Cloud." Most notably, LG will launch the AI advertising solution "LG DOOH Ads," in collaboration with partners. It can use AI to analyze pedestrian information around digital signage to deliver tailor-made advertisements.

Regarding business space demands, LG will also exhibit several products, including the 136-inch LG MAGNIT All-in-one, LG Blackboard, high-brightness digital signage for retail stores, and digital signage in sizes of 171-inch and 105-inch.
