UMC plans more hiring

United Microelectronics Corporation (UMC) plans to seek a total of 2,400 new recruits, including 1,000 engineers for its 12-inch wafer fab located at the Southern Taiwan Science Park (STSP), at upcoming job fairs in Taiwan, according to the company.
