Lextar Electronics 3Q11 gross margin falls

LED epitaxial wafer and chip maker Lextar Electronics saw its gross margin for the third quarter of 2011 drop to 8.85% mainly due to decreases in prices and a fall in shipments of LCD chips used to make backlight units, according to the company.
