Dell has announced its new PowerStore enterprise storage systems and Power Edge servers powered by Intel's Whitley processors in Taiwan, and the company may also start offering its APEX subscription services in Taiwan in 2022, according to Dell Taiwan general manager Terence Liao.
Since enterprises have been cutting spending on IT products, fewer of them prefer to buy servers of their own and more are turning to subscribe cloud services with datacenter operators.
Storage product brand PureStorage already started subscription services a while ago, while Hewlett-Packard Enterprise (HPE) also recently launched the GreenLake subscription services. Dell is looking to release the APEX in the near future.
Dell also cooperated with datacenter operator Equinix, aiming to expand the coverage of its APEX services.
Dell's APEX will initially be available only in Europe and North America and will seek to bring the services to Taiwan next year.
Dell also released Dell EMC VxRail hyper-converged infrastructure for servers to bring enterprises stronger computing performance.
