Semiconductor test equipment leader Chroma ATE announced that its founder and chairman, Leo Huang, will step down as CEO, handing the role over to I-Shih Tseng, the current president of the integrated system solutions and optical inspection systems business units.
Chroma held an extraordinary board meeting on December 3. To support organizational development and enhance its governance structure, the board unanimously approved that, starting January 1, 2026, Tseng will be promoted to president and CEO, overseeing operational policies and strategy execution.
According to public information, Tseng joined Chroma in 1998, contributing to the development of semiconductor testing equipment. He currently serves as president of the integrated system solutions and optical inspection systems business units, as well as a board director. His portfolio includes VLSI test systems, SoC system-level test platforms, optical component test systems, and PXI/PXIe IC test platforms.
Tseng is also the chairman of ADIVIC, a Chroma affiliate, and a board director at Testar Electronics and Innovative Nanotech. He graduated from the department of mechanical engineering at National Taiwan University and holds a PhD in mechanical engineering from Pennsylvania State University in the US.
