According to the Institute for Information Industry (III), Taiwan’s 2001 set-top box (STB) shipments will rise 90% over 2000 to 2.87 million units, accounting for a 5.8% share of the global market. Last year, Taiwan shipped 1.5 million units for a 3.7% share.
