Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC) has signed an agreement to build a planned 8-inch fab in Shanghai, officially entering the mainland’s foundry industry, according to disclosure information provided to the Taiwan Stock Exchange (TSE) on Monday.
