UMC ex-chairman Robert Tsao indicted in Hejian case

United Microelectronics Corporation (UMC) yesterday said its operations would not be affected, as its recently resigned chairman Robert Tsao was indicted by prosecutors investigating the company’s involvement with China-based foundry Hejian Technology.
