Apple and its suppliers have reportedly become the largest blue-collar job generators in the country. The Economic Times, citing unnamed government officials, reported that based on employment generation reports filed to the Indian government, Apple and its suppliers have generated 150,000 direct jobs and 300,000 indirect jobs. Among these workers, nearly 3,000 people are directly hired by Apple.
