At COMPUTEX 2024, Foxconn Technology Group revealed its latest venture in partnership with Nvidia.

The venture is establishing an advanced computing center in Kaohsiung, Taiwan. This state-of-the-art facility, centered around Nvidia's superchip GB200 server, aims to revolutionize Foxconn's smart manufacturing, Electric Vehicles (EVs), and smart city platforms.

Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang highlighted the close collaboration between the two tech giants, citing the Blackwell series chips as a prime example of their joint innovation. Huang praised Foxconn's superior vertical integration, positioning the company as Nvidia's crucial partner for the GB200 project.

Foxconn Chairman Young Liu announced that the Kaohsiung facility in the Kaohsiung Software Park will feature 64 racks and 4,608 GPUs. The project, set to be completed by 2026, marks a significant milestone in both companies' pursuit of technological advancement.

The partnership extends beyond the Kaohsiung center. Leveraging Nvidia's AI capabilities, Foxconn aims to enhance its smart platforms while expanding cooperation in AI, EVs, smart factories, robotics, and smart cities. This collaboration is poised to demonstrate the formidable competitive edge that AI can bring to large-scale manufacturing.

Huang lauded Foxconn as a top-tier supplier and a pioneer in smart manufacturing and generative AI applications for robotics. The new computing center will utilize Nvidia's AI, Digital Twin, and robotics platforms to drive innovation and industry growth.

Liu further disclosed that the Kaohsiung center will offer computing power leasing services to supply chain partners, expanding its impact beyond Foxconn's internal developments. In addition, Nvidia's Taipei-1 facility is set to scale up, underscoring the deepening collaboration between these industry leaders.
