Testing interface manufacturer Chunghwa Precision Test Tech (CHPT) reported that due to seasonal factors at the end of the year, revenue for November 2025 declined both year over year and sequentially. However, cumulative revenue for the first 11 months still outperformed the same period in 2024. The company expects to achieve its full-year goal of double-digit revenue growth in 2025.

CHPT assigns new corporate director rep

On December 2, CHPT announced that the company has assigned a new corporate director representative. The outgoing representative, chairman Hung-Tsan Ma, whose term was set to expire on June 6, 2026, will be succeeded by Wei-kuo Hong, the senior executive vice president of Chunghwa Telecom (CHT) and president of Chunghwa Telecommunications Training Institute (CHTTI). The change will take effect on December 31, 2025.

According to information on CHT's official website, Hong's current responsibilities include assisting the president and overseeing human resources, administration assets, procurement, and the occupational safety and health departments, including related planning, execution, and supervision. He is also authorized to sign on behalf of the company within the scope of regulations approved or delegated in writing by the president. Hung earned his PhD in industrial management from National Tsing Hua University.

AI boom drives demand, future growth opportunities

CHPT noted that despite short-term market headwinds caused by supply chain fluctuations, volatility, and adjustments in customer demand, the company is still benefiting from surging demand for high-performance computing (HPC) chips driven by the global artificial intelligence (AI) boom, as well as increased stocking of application processors (AP) for next-generation smartphones and high-end tablets. The company said continuous investment and technology upgrades in these two key application areas continue to provide a stable revenue foundation.

Looking ahead, CHPT is optimistic that as AI applications become increasingly widespread, computing power will grow exponentially, driving up demand for high-current, high-speed semiconductor load boards. The company said this demand strengthens its long-term competitive edge and will continue to create future growth opportunities.

Expanding to meet growing needs

To meet rapidly expanding needs in the AI market, CHPT plans to continue developing AI technologies to enhance smart manufacturing and diversify its product portfolio. It has also initiated construction of its Pingzhen third factory in Taoyuan, Taiwan. The new facility will primarily focus on PCBs and test load board production.

Once the new capacity comes fully online, CHPT's scale will more than double from its current level. The company said it expects overall operations to trend steadily upward as a result.

CHPT released its November 2025 revenue report on December 3, posting a consolidated single-month revenue of NT$399 million (approx. US$12.73 million), down 1.9% from October and 11.9% from November 2024. However, consolidated revenue for the first 11 months of 2025 reached NT$4.42 billion, marking a 40% year-over-year increase.
