As a battery supplier in Samsung Group, its energy-related revenue accounts for 80%. The original business is display technology, but after 2014, battery has become its main business, and by acquiring Magna Steyr's battery subsidiary MSBS in 2015, Samsung SDI have built a complete battery business from cell to module to battery pack. Solid-state batteries are developing faster, and a pilot line has been built in Mar 2022.
