Japanese fabless chip maker Genusion has fabricated what the company claims is a novel 4-megabit flash memory technology. Today's flash programming speeds range from 1- to 10Mbit/sec –or about one-tenth the pace of hard drives. The B4-HE mechanism has a potential to achieve 100Mbit/sec programming performance, according to the firm, based in the city of Amagasaki in the Hyogo Prefecture.
