Taiwan’s Center for Disease Control (CDC) this morning confirmed the first SARS case since the World Health Organization (WHO) stopped publishing daily numbers for SARS cases in Taiwan on July 14. The TAIEX index tumbled 135.22 points to close at 5752.01.
