Shipments of LED backlit LCD TV panels set to pick up in 2H

TFT LCD panel makers including Samsung Electronics, LG. Philips LCD, AU Optronics (AUO) and Chi Mei Optoelectronics (CMO) are set to ship LCD TV panels that use LED backlighting in the second half of 2006, according to industry sources.
