Holtek developing 8-bit MCUs for financial, sensor, smart meter applications

Holtek Semiconductor expects sales of it 8-bit MCUs for debit card reader, smoke sensor and smart meter applications to increase substantially in 2013, expanding its share in the global 8-bit MCU market, according to company president Gordon Gau.
