mmWave test solution provider Rapidtek Technologies has begun to operate a next-generation antenna laboratory established through cooperation with Rohde & Schwarz (R&S) Taiwan and Wispec Technology, providing testing solutions for 5G mmWave and array antenna design of RF modules and receivers used in LEO (low Earth orbit) satellite wireless communications, according to Rapidtek.

Rapidtek cooperated with networking/communication equipment maker Alpha Networks, PCB maker Gold Circuit Electronics, and CCL maker Taiwan Union Technology to win a B5G (beyond 5G) research project subsidized by Taiwan's Ministry of Economic Affairs in December 2021, with Rapidtek coordinating communications with international collaborators.

Rapidtek is the only Taiwan-based enterprise that has attended international exhibitions of satellite applications for several consecutive years, company president Arthur Wang said.

Currently, Rapidtek receives 10% of its consolidated revenues from array antenna modules for ground receivers used in LEO satellite wireless communications.
