Motorola, through Motorola Ventures, its venture capital arm, announced a strategic investment in Quantum SPA, a developer of DVB-H mobile TV media players.

Iomega rebuffed an unsolicited takeover offer from EMC that values the company at US$178 million, saying the bid was not superior to a merger deal it had in the works with China's ExcelStor.
