SMIC signs deal with Elpida, may drive Infineon to GSMC

Semiconductor Manufacturing International Corporation (SMIC) has landed a five-year agreement to supply DRAM chips to Elpida Memory, following a similar deal with Infineon Technologies announced in early December, reported the Nihon Keizai Shimbun.
