Lifted technology ban will not affect employment in Taiwan IT industry, says economics minister

Taiwan's Minister of Economic Affairs Steve Chen yesterday said employment in the local IT industry will not be affected by the government's recent approval that allows foundries process wafers, using 0.18-micron technology at their 8-inch China fabs.
