DIGITIMES observes that New H3C Technologies, one of China's top three long-standing domestic server vendors by revenue, has steadily increased its overseas exports since 2023. Its key markets are the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) and Central Asia.
Exports follow two primary channels: direct supply—mainly to ASEAN subsidiaries of Chinese cloud service providers (CSPs)—and indirect distribution through telecom operators and channel partners. Exports to Central Asia continue to expand, with year-on-year growth in higher-priced products outpacing that in the ASEAN market.
A close examination of New H3C's server and component exports reveals two primary channels. The first channel consists of shipments handled by New H3C Group's Hong Kong entity, which exports contract-manufactured servers designed by Chinese CSPs, as well as New H3C-branded or OEM servers, switches, and related components.
