China smartphone market, 3Q 2025

DIGITIMES analysis revealed that smartphone shipments in the China market reached 66.6 million units in the third quarter of 2025, representing a 7.7% decrease from the previous quarter and a 2.7% decline compared to the same period in 2024.

The top five smartphone brands by shipment volume in China for the third quarter of 2025 were Huawei, Vivo, Xiaomi, Oppo, and Apple, in that order. Together, these leading brands accounted for an 85.5% market share, slightly higher than the 85.2% recorded in the second quarter of 2025.

Looking ahead to the fourth quarter of 2025, the China market is expected to benefit from the highly anticipated Singles' Day promotional event, which is regarded as the most significant sales period for both merchants and consumers throughout the year. Shipments are forecasted to increase by 15.4% quarter-over-quarter but remain below the levels seen in the fourth quarter of 2024.
