Cheertek, ALi and Sunplus license video compression technology from DivXNetworks

Three Taiwanese optical chip designers – Cheertek, ALi and Sunplus Technology – have all licensed DivX video compression technology from US-based DivXNetworks for their DVD chip solutions, according to statements released by DivXNetworks on May 20 and 21.
