Compal Communications sees record after-tax profit in 2Q 2006

Taiwan-based OEM handset maker Compal Communications saw its after-tax profits climb 14.2% sequentially to an all-time quarterly high of NT$1.45 billion (US$44 million) in the second quarter of this year, according to data released by the company.
