LED backlighting to dominate small-sized LCD panel market by 2007, says Epitech; company may seek alliance or merger

By next year, 70-80% of LCD panels sized 7-inch and smaller (12-inches and smaller in the notebook segment) will adopt LED backlighting, according to Semi Wang, president of Taiwan-based LED chipmaker Epitech.
