Taiwan's leading telecom operators—Chunghwa Telecom (CHT), Taiwan Mobile, and Far EasTone (FET)—each reported revenue growth for November 2025. The sustained popularity of Apple's iPhone 17, combined with the Singles' Day shopping festival and government cash handouts, drove positive momentum across their core telecom businesses.
Beyond traditional services, all three carriers showed strong performance in non-telecom segments, including enterprise ICT integration projects and consumer digital services, delivering impressive results.
Chunghwa Telecom
CHT posted consolidated revenue of NT$21.45 billion (US$688 million) in November, up 6.1% year-over-year. Operating profit reached NT$3.79 billion, pre-tax profit was NT$4.52 billion, net income attributable to shareholders stood at NT$3.46 billion, and EBITDA totaled NT$7.18 billion.
The company attributed revenue growth mainly to robust core business performance and continued strong sales momentum from the iPhone. Strategic investments also yielded phased returns, further boosting pre-tax profits and overall operational results.
In telecom operations, mobile services benefited from accelerated 5G plans and hot iPhone 17 sales, driving a 4.2% annual increase in revenue from high-tier users. Postpaid subscriber numbers grew steadily, with postpaid ARPU rising 3.0% year-over-year. Additionally, subscribers using speeds above 300Mbps maintained double-digit growth, pushing fixed broadband ARPU up 2.9% to NT$813 and broadband revenue up 2.7% annually.
Information technology and communication (ICT) sector revenue rose 13% year-over-year, led by outstanding performances in Internet data center (IDC), cloud, smart connectivity, and cybersecurity services. IDC and cloud revenues surged 27%, supported by multiple data center construction projects completed in November. Smart connectivity and security services also saw double-digit growth thanks to the completion of smart building, energy, and government projects.
For the first 11 months of 2025, CHT's consolidated operating revenue reached NT$212.85 billion, operating profit was NT$45.12 billion, pre-tax profit hit NT$46.74 billion, and net income attributable to shareholders totaled NT$36.02 billion—all exceeding the company's annual financial targets.
Taiwan Mobile
Taiwan Mobile recorded a 14% year-on-year rise in total telecom revenue for November, driven by stronger enterprise telecom demand, operational leverage in consumer telecom, and accelerated growth in new technology sectors fueled by Singles' Day promotions. Consolidated operating profit increased 10%, while net income after tax rose 7%.
The operator reported November consolidated revenue of NT$23.11 billion, operating profit of NT$2.23 billion, and net income of NT$1.42 billion. Year-to-date through November, revenue totaled NT$180.72 billion, operating profit came to NT$19.28 billion, and net income reached NT$13.12 billion.
Taiwan Mobile chief financial officer and spokesperson George Chang noted that under the SGF sustainable growth strategy, the core telecom business steadily improved. Mobile service revenue maintained solid growth momentum, with postpaid churn hitting a record low of just 0.57%. Marketing efforts focused on exclusive plans helped push telecom EBITDA beyond NT$3 billion, with operating profit growing nearly 20% year-over-year.
Far EasTone
FET achieved record-high monthly consolidated revenue and EBITDA in November, benefiting from ongoing strong iPhone 17 sales driving 5G upgrades, sustained enterprise ICT revenue growth, and steady expansion in digital lifestyle services.
November revenue topped NT$10.31 billion, marking three consecutive months above NT$10 billion and rising 10.5% year-over-year. Consolidated EBITDA reached NT$3.21 billion, up 5.6%, with net income at NT$1.10 billion. Year-to-date through November, FET's revenue, EBITDA, and net income grew 4.6%, 5.1%, and 8.1%, respectively, reaching NT$99.01 billion, NT$34.73 billion, and NT$12.43 billion.
Mobile communications remained strong, with Singles' Day discounts and government cash payouts spurring device purchases and 5G upgrades. The 5G postpaid penetration rate hit 47.0%, the highest among the three major carriers. Postpaid ARPU continued climbing, lifting November mobile service revenue to NT$5.24 billion, a 2.1% year-over-year increase to mark the 57th consecutive month of growth.
Enterprise ICT business sustained double-digit growth due to the successful delivery of system integration, IoT, cybersecurity, and cloud projects. Personal digital services also expanded, boosted by FET's friDay Video platform and Guardian Network. The friDay Video Singles' Day promotion received strong market response, with sales increasing 1.6 times over 2024 and new registered members more than doubling, setting a new platform record for the period.
